A hot-desk accessory that packs flat. A cable tidy, a slim pouch or a folding laptop stand with a small embroidered mark, light enough to live permanently inside a rucksack. Members are transient by definition, so the item has to travel between locations rather than live on one desk.

A privacy or noise item for shared floors. In a warm non-corporate colourway, for a room that is full of calls. This is the most requested category in flex space and the one operators are least likely to have covered.

What to avoid

• Generic office merch. The entire premise is that this is not an office.
• Running the date for a client who is neither an operator nor a member brand. There is no audience, and it reads as a company inventing an occasion for itself.
• The operator's corporate logo where the space name would be better. Where a location has a real community identity, the item should read as belonging to the room, not as signage.
• Assuming everyone is in the same building on the day.
• Gift-set pricing. This is a five to twenty-five euro category, not a boxed set category.

Early June. Stock lead time plus seven to fifteen days for decoration, plus two to six business days of EU transit per destination. August is closed in France, Spain and much of Belgium, so anything not agreed by mid-July will not land on the date.
